🗓 March BHA Event: Take the risk to be extraordinary🗓

🎙 For our March event, we have the honour of having Susan Knapp as our guest speaker. She will be presenting “Take the risk to be extraordinary”.

⚡️Presentation Description⚡️

Susan Knapp is a mother, humanitarian, change maker, author and thought leader.

In November of 2022 Susan launched her first book Nothing Is Too Big where she narrates her story of 25 years living in Africa, Asia, The Middle East and Australia. Susan talks of surviving a train overturning in the jungles of Thailand, being held hostage in a bank in Kenya, adopting two children from Kenya and having two biological children in Qatar, a country where she was subsequently held under country arrest. Susan survived years of domestic violence, had her children removed from her care for three years and was declared financially bankrupt in Australia.

She is now the Founder and CEO of In2EdAfrica, has built two schools in Kenya that educate around 300 children from resource poor communities. When her 13 year old son was 9 he told her he thought he was too stupid to go to school so he quit. Now both he and his 8 and 18 year old sisters run their own social enterprises with profits going into their projects in Kenya.

Susan believes if we raise children as contributors to society and not consumers of it we can change the world, reduce mental health issues and create peace. Susan and her family appeared on SBS Insight in 2022 and her youngest daughter Amalia has been featured in the latest Barefoot Investor Book.
